The Sims 4: Dream Home Decorator
This game pack brings a new active career to The Sims 4: Interior Decorator. Players can have their Sims take on jobs where they must find out what their client likes and renovate their home to (hopefully) earn their praise.
I designed and implemented the Sim Preferences feature. It adds the ability for Sims to like (or dislike) things such as various activities, colors, music, and décor styles.
Sim Preferences support this game pack but are also integrated into all other Sims 4 packs, including the base game.
The main challenge of designing this feature was to construct something that doesn't get buried in the vast amount of Live Mode gameplay that already exists, but also doesn't crowd out existing Live Mode features and tuning. Additionally, it had to mostly be created using existing tech and systems in order to stay within the pack's budget.
